LIGR Partners with Corsican Football League to Transform French Amateur Football Broadcasting
Bastia, Corsica / Sydney, October 2025 — The Ligue Corse de Football (LCF), governing body for football in Corsica and one of the oldest regional leagues within the French Football Federation, has partnered with LIGR (Live Graphic Systems) to transform live match production across its regional competitions.
This collaboration marks a landmark moment for French amateur football, with the LCF internalising live production and using LIGR's automation technology to deliver broadcast-level coverage of its Régional 1 ESCCOM and Régional 2 leagues — encompassing 288 matches per season.
A Modern Broadcast Model for Amateur Football
Previously reliant on third-party OTT platforms, the LCF sought a solution to bring live streaming in-house while empowering clubs to manage their own matchday productions. While the LCF oversees 93 clubs across all divisions including youth and futsal, this partnership focuses on the 25 clubs in its top two divisions — Régional 1 ESCCOM and Régional 2. LIGR's automated broadcast system enables the league and these 25 clubs to stream professional-looking games with minimal staff and maximum engagement.
Key Capabilities Deployed
- Professional Broadcast Graphics — Full integration of team line-ups, player photos, and match statistics into LIGR's automated graphics engine, using the same visual standards as top-tier competitions.
- Advertising & Commercialisation Tools — Dynamic ad space management within broadcasts, enabling both the league and clubs to sell and manage ad inventory independently, unlocking new revenue opportunities.
- Automated Highlights & Social Content — Each game automatically generates highlight clips that clubs can instantly share on social media, growing audience engagement and club identity.
- Data-Integrated Live Scoring — Matchday stats and data are entered live by a single operator, instantly reflected in on-screen graphics.
- Low-Cost Production at Scale — Each club operates using its Veo camera, provided by the league, ensuring consistent, high-quality capture across all matches.
The platform provides comprehensive match management capabilities, allowing the league to schedule, manage, and track all 288 matches across the season from a single dashboard.
One of the most powerful features for clubs is the automated highlight generation system, which creates shareable clips instantly after key moments, enabling clubs to grow their social media presence and engage fans in real-time.
Democratizing Video Production in Corsican Football
Over the last two seasons, the Ligue Corse de Football has equipped all 25 clubs in its top two divisions (Régional 1 ESCCOM and Régional 2) with Veo automated cameras, fully funded by the league. These cameras, combined with LIGR's live graphics and streaming technology, enable each club to:
- Stream matches live with a single operator handling both Veo and LIGR inputs.
- Record and analyse training and youth matches, extending the value of the setup beyond official competitions.
- Produce automated highlight reels and grow their digital fan base.
This model effectively democratizes video production and analysis in regional football, making professional broadcasting accessible at the grassroots level.
Unlocking Commercial Revenue
The advertising and commercialisation tools give both the league and individual clubs the ability to manage their own ad inventory within live broadcasts. Clubs can create and manage ad sets, controlling when and where advertisements appear during their matches.
The platform also provides detailed analytics on advertising performance, helping clubs understand viewership patterns and optimize their commercial partnerships for maximum revenue generation.
A Step Forward in French Amateur Football
Since launching with LIGR, the LCF has already seen average viewing time per match double, with greater audience engagement around the R1 ESCCOM and R2 competitions. The league now plans to expand production to include the Coupe de Corse (Corsican Cup) and other youth and women's tournaments.
By integrating automated production, live scoring, and commercial tools, the LCF can promote Corsican football globally while supporting local club development and visibility.
What They're Saying
"We are pleased to partner with LIGR in a landmark moment for Corsican and French amateur football. We now have the ability to produce broadcast-level matches with a high degree of automation, relying on our Veo cameras and LIGR's technology, while creating new commercial opportunities for both the league and our clubs. The clubs can now truly build an online following with automated highlights and easily accessible live streams — a huge step forward for us. Over the coming weeks and months, we will continue to grow our streaming presence, and LIGR will remain a key part of that foundation."
— Johan Luiggi, Vice-President, Ligue Corse de Football
"What the Corsican Football League has achieved is exactly what LIGR was built for — empowering federations and clubs to deliver professional live sports coverage that's automated, affordable, and scalable. The LCF has shown how technology can drive engagement, revenue, and pride in local football. It's a model for how regional leagues everywhere can control their production and build their own audience."
