DAZN selects LIGR as technology partner for the National League

Australia – 20 October 2025 — DAZN, the global home of football, has selected LIGR as its core technology partner to support its upcoming coverage of the English National League, cementing an integrated stack across graphics, live distribution, highlights, archival and match control. The collaboration positions LIGR at the heart of DAZN's ambition to deliver end-to-end scalable, automated club-level broadcasting.

From 2025, LIGR will deliver automated graphics, low-latency distribution, highlights and archival services across all National League clubs under a landmark integrated partnership with DAZN, High Viz Media and Sportradar.

Background & Strategic Context

In mid-2024, DAZN secured exclusive rights to National League TV (NLTV), migrating existing subscribers and integrating the service into the DAZN platform.

That deal marked DAZN's first major domestic soccer rights acquisition in England and represented a pivot to a more vertically integrated content stack, as reported by SportsPro.

High Viz Media was appointed as the production partner (OB / outside broadcast provider) for the National League, leveraging their experience in sports, esports workflows and cloud-centric operations.

LIGR's role: to provide the intelligent, scalable broadcasting backbone that automates much of the graphic, highlights and distribution workflows across all participating clubs and matches.

Scope & Solution

  • Automated Graphics & Data Integration — All broadcast graphics (live standings, fixtures, match stats, results, etc.) are generated automatically, either via LIGR's live scoring engines or via integrations with Sportradar's live football data feeds (in a landmark tripartite collaboration: DAZN, Sportradar, LIGR).
Overlay Settings — LIGR interface for updating and previewing broadcast graphics overlays.
  • Low Latency Distribution & Streaming — LIGR supports live distribution of all match streams at low latency, ensuring high-quality, real-time delivery to takers such as Sportradar and Infront.
  • Highlights, Clips & Mini-Match Creation — LIGR automates live clipping, highlight generation and mini-match editing immediately post-match, ready for publishing and club use.
Highlights Page — Real-time highlight rendering, editing, and sharing interface.
  • Archival, Replay & MCR Integration — LIGR handles archive cataloguing and integration with the master control room (MCR). High Viz's production team can trigger replays or graphics via Stream Deck / control interfaces, or allow manual override where needed.
  • Centralised Graphics Control / Remote Control Room — LIGR is launching a new football graphics control environment (via its "Fuse" build-and-control infrastructure) to centralise graphics operations across the National League. This runs from single-camera automated matches to full multi-camera productions and allows DAZN staff (or their delegates) to operate the graphics flow directly or hand over control to production partners when needed.

LIGR's platform is designed for both scalability and flexibility, supporting modest single-camera club setups up to fully equipped multi-camera OBs under a unified control and branding logic.

Scale & Reach

  • The deployment covers over 640 live National League matches in 2025.
  • It spans all National League clubs, giving each club access to the same high-end broadcast tooling and content outputs.
  • The system is built to scale with audience demand and future league or competition expansion.
Matches Table — Overview of upcoming, live, and completed fixtures with full broadcast details.

Benefits & Outcomes

  • Operational efficiency — automation of repetitive tasks reduces manual workload, speeds production cycles and lowers cost per match.
  • Consistency of brand & experience — all clubs benefit from the same graphic language, match presentation and content modules.
  • Commercial leverage — unified capabilities open up monetisation potential (sponsorship overlays, club-level content, highlight packages) across multiple clubs and matches.
  • Scalability & flexibility — the system allows for expansion into higher tiers, adapted workflows and remote interventions as necessary.
  • Future proofing — the modular architecture is designed to integrate new technologies (AI, camera automation, extended data layers) as they become viable.
Compilations Screen — Combined highlights for single or multiple matches, edit and share functionality.
